My grandpa buys some local honey that is Blackberry essence. mmm...so good.

There's an beekeeper in a town about thirty minutes from me. Thomas Honey, Lake CIty FL. I buy their orange blossom honey with the comb in it. It is amazing. All real honey.

I do quite like some tea! All the time, really, as is likely evidenced by my avatar.

I like going over to whole foods and just getting whatever looks appetizing... Fruit tea has tickled my fancy recently. I do like this tea called Bengal Spice... It's like a chai but more cinnamon-y!

I love tea, it is probably my favorite hot beverage. Orange Pekoe is my favorite kind, it is so delicious.

lol, is it "Celestial Seasons" or whatever? lol....

I like Chai teas, but drinking it too much makes me feel sick, for some reason.... I had one with cinnamon, nutmeg and all kinds of other stuff I can't remember, and I haven't pulled it out of the cupboard since... but other than that, an occasional Chai tea is very comforting on a cold day.

it's good, don't get me wrong, but I just can't drink it. something in it just doesn't agree with my stomach...

Funny thing. I used to love honey- a friend of my dad's was a beekeeper and he would give us fresh samples with the comb in. God it was delicious.
Now, though, I cannot eat it. Seriously. Even a small taste makes me queasy. Wonder if it's an allergic reaction or something.

On topic, though, I really wish the stores in my area carried Bigelow's Cinnamon Stick tea. Hands down, it is my favorite. Even more so than Rose Black. You could hook me up to an IV drip of the stuff and I would be content.
And yet I have to order it online, because for some bizarre reason, there isn't a single market in SF that carries it.
FOR SHAME.

Speaking of tea on cold days, I had a "Roasted Walnut" blend of green tea, pineapple, and other bits of things, and the bag said that roasted walnuts was an ancient chinese method used to warm the body. surprisingly, it did, and a little too much. I was wearing a sweater and pants in a house kept at around 70 degrees F, and within half an hour I had to change into shorts and take off the sweater, I was sweating so bad.

it was also very good...

Aw shoot, I'm adding some walnuts to my next green pot :blush2: I've steeped it with sesame seeds before which is also delicious.

I've never had Earl grey. probably because the store I go to has 30 differed kinds and I can never pick one... do you just drink it bagged? like, made by Tetley or something?

Loose, made by Twinings.

I've been meaning to try a "gunpowder" green tea. any good?

I think it's great, I guess it depends from brand to brand like with all things, but Lipton's has that standard green tea flavour, but it's less bitter, has a sweeter rounder flavour and a very specific aftertaste that lasts a long time. It's yummy :)

me too, but not as much as you! :)

I like you :)

I'm confused, are you saying your adding walnuts to a pot of green tea? I think that's okay, if they're just plain, it won't warm you up, I think it's roasted walnuts that do that trick.

Hello, I was wondering if there were any fellow tea drinkers here on the forums, and if so, which kinds of tea do you like?

I drink a lot of Rooibos,

Never heard of that. Where I live, we drink tea instead of carbonated soft drinks, nearly year round, but "Iced", and seldom have it hot, but summer lasts about six months here, with winter only two months long, and that leaves only six weeks for each of fall and spring. Lipton's sells several types of teas intended for making pitchers full at a time (for which I use a drip-type coffee maker) I do have a box of some UK brand of odd-shaped pyramidal teabag without any string on it ("PC Tips" is it?) I usually prefer Bigelow, and have no idea whether that's American or an offshore brand.

if you can get Tetley and Lipton they have one, I'm not sure what Lipton calls it, but Tetley calls it "Red Tea" I'm pretty sure. it's pronounced Roy-Buss. it's really good if you like earthy, nutty teas. it's made from a bush found only in south-Africa.

I have some in my thermos, it's good stuff. Gotta love the Celestial Seasonings Co.

Yeah, I drink lots of tea but none of your "fancy" stuff, just good old British tea that comes in tea bags - Typhoo and PG Tips. :D

Same here, no need to tip half of the greenhouse into my tea.
