Glitched Custom Goggles

Post » Fri Apr 08, 2011 3:37 am

I recently made a pair of custom goggles using a duplicate of the Biker Goggles, and when I put them on they appear to the side of the character's head and clipped into whatever outfit the character is wearing. Not only that, but they are rotated 90 degrees vertically.

The actual Biker Goggles work fine, as do the various eyeglasses, but for some reason these custom ones are not appearing over the eyes as they are supposed to.

I have no mods other than some adjustments I made myself, and I know none of those are the problem.

For reference, I also made a custom hat and outfit and those work just fine.

I tried changing which part of the head the goggles attach to, that didn't help. Neither did reloading or even restarting in case it was a memory issue (although with 6 gigs RAM it shouldn't EVER be). I also tried taking off the hat in question in case it was messing something up and that didn't work either (the hat and goggles do not share attachment points, in case you were wondering).

As I'm out of ideas as to what could be wrong, I thought I'd ask here since some of you have clothing mods and have probably run into either this or something similar at some point.

Did you try clicking Update Facegen Model Availability under the Character pulldown menu of the GECK?

No I haven't, I didn't even know it existed.

I'll try that, although since I didn't need to do anything for the hat I'm not sure why the goggles would require it.

EDIT: I did as you suggested and it worked, although since the goggles in question use the exact same model as the Biker Goggles there shouldn't have been any problem in the first place.
