Modder's Resource - Final Fantasy 7 Materia models and textures. Blue, Green, Red, Yellow, Purple and White Materia provided. No need to ask permission to use this, just stick my name in the credits of whatever mod you add these to.

This adds the materia from Final Fantasy Vii to Fallout 3. You need to collect the materia and take it to the materia activator in Craterside Supply or Tenpenny Tower to add them to your body. It is all levelled and can only be found starting at level 5 with the best found at level 20. There is a 7% chance to find these on monsters in the wasteland and only specific types on specific monsters.. There is also a 7% chance to find some in containers. A Holy materia has actually been placed in the wasteland somewhere, there is only one of these and doesn't need to be added by the materia activators in Craterside Supply or Tenpenny tower, all you need do is pick up holy to gain the effect. Some materia can be added to your body again to gain an additional level in that materia, similiar to how materia grows in FFVII. Materia and max levels of that materia are listed below.

Materia

* HP Plus: Increases HP by 20 per level of materia, max of lvl 5
* MP Plus: Increases AP by 10 per level, max of lvl 5
* Exp Plus: Increases experience gain, max of lvl 5
* Gil Plus: Increases caps found on NPCs you kill
* Underwater: Breath underwater
* 2x Cut: 2x damage at lvl 1, 4x damage at lvl 2
* Deathblow: Increased critical chance, max of lvl 5
* Steal: Activate someone while sneaking to attempt to steal their stuff. 50% chance to steal, failure results in them attacking you.
* Morph: Turns corpses into items, robots only for now.
* Sense: Increased Perception
* MP Absorb: acts like a less over-powering Grim Reaper's sprint, awarding 10 AP per VATS kill.
* MP Turbo: Use AP to increase damage dealt by 10%
* Sneak Attack: Boosts sneak attack damage.
* Added Cut: Deal extra damage
* Quadra Magic: Boosts AP Regen
* Restore: Adds Cure1 to Aid items, you will always have 5 of these until you remove the restore materia, these cost 10 AP per use. More cure spells at higher Restore levels.
* Heal: Radiationa and Addictiona heal Rads and remove Addiction, respectively.
* Fullcure: Restore HP completely
* Exit: Escape to a safehouse
* Barrier: Increased DR, max of lvl 5
* Deathclaw: Summon a fearsome deathclaw into battle for 90 seconds. If it dies you can summon it again a few seconds later. 70 AP cost to summon b.t.w.
* Knights Of The Steel: Summon three Knights Of The Steel to aid you in combat for 90 seconds, 90 AP cost.
* Fenrir: Summonable wolf Fenrir, fast and fierce.
* Hades: A ghoul melee tank
* Bahamut: A Behemoth melee monster

As you may of guessed i am using AP as a form of magic ;)

A Materia vendor who will pay between 100 and 200 caps per materia is now located at Jury Street Metro. Right behind the diner where Prime is found. Place unwanted materia in the safe then talk to the talking activator. Why a talking activator rather than a vendor npc? I wanted to experiment with one is all.

Install

1. Extract the folders and readme to C:\(Install Directory)\Data
2. Start G.E.C.K and select appropiate model for whatever materia you are making.

Uninstall

Delete the "Meshes/StewB/Materia" and "Textures/StewB/Materia"folders from C:\(Install Directory)\Data\

Licensing/Legal

You can do whatever you want with this resource, just remember to credit me if you put it in one of your own mods.

Bugs/Conflicts

Bug: If you use Exit to escape during a mission you can't return to your screwed unless you know a i.d code to use moveto with..

Conflict: Not really a conflict but if you use something like Eve or Saiden Storm's critical kill visual replacers then the robots corpses can't be morph if one of the disintegration animations play. Not really a conflict as the standard disintegration animations have the same effect but worth mentioning for the complainers.

History

Saved this till last as its most boring ;)

**20/3/10**

Materia item chance is now lowered to 7%, A vendor for surplus materia has been added and certain materia types can be found only on certain npc types that you kill as well as in random containers.

**7/2/10**

Added Sense, Barrier, Underwater, Bahamut and Holy. Several materia have been given 5 levels - Deathblow for example

**18/1/10**

Added Morph, Exit, Gil Plus, Added Cut and Hades

**4/1/10**

Added Steal, Fullcure, Fenrir, Sneak Attack and Exp Plus. Uploaded Summon showcase vid.

**29/11/9**

Tweaked levels on levelled lists for materia, fixed a few bugs in the script for the materia organizer. Next up i hope to move the container somewhere out of sight to avoid confusion and get the next five matreria added. Tweaked the actual materia .nif files to be more transparent and glowy.

Having gone to great lengths to add as much realism to my game as I can, I'd say that would defiantly count as an “immersion breaking” mod. But I don’t care because this is too fraking cool to pass up. Thanks!
