Which TES do you play the most?

Notice how those who prefer Daggerfall are mostly gone from the forums, now, but used to rule it and pick on Morrowind. The shift must be happening again.

But then I'll be an outcast. :cryvaultboy:

I don't remember that at all, actually.

I was on these forums a lot as asamopower back then.

I mean, there's a huge difference between preferring and being utterly disappointed. The people who prefer Daggerfall probably left after they saw that Oblivion was a huge step backwards in every aspect except for combat, which was really a tiny step forwards. Manual blocking, woooooo!

Also, I don't think as many people play Daggerfall anymore, in general. Morrowind is timeless and I stay here because I still play Morrowind. I just comment when I see something I disagree with, while browsing, because I can't really help it.

Also, I give Oblivion another try now again. There just aren't enough mods to stuff into it to keep me entertained for more than a week. But, that's just me.

I'm just saying I'm not here to pick on Oblivion. When I'm not playing Morrowind, I disappear and no one hears from me until I start playing Morrowind again. I don't stick around just to make fun of Oblivion. But it does slightly offend me when people totally miss the point, so I can't help but comment.

No, not you, just general attitude. That picking on Morrowind phase of the forums came from someone(actually a few people) on these forums who was(were) around when Morrowind was released, and in the opinions of some of the few Daggerfall preferrers who hang out around here.

Can't choose more than one. I've put in roughly equal amount of hours playing Morrowind, Oblivion, and Daggerfall.

I know and hate that experience.

I've played Morrowind and Oblivion equally, but Morrowind just about beats Oblivion just because it's been out longer. I tried Daggerfall, but couldn't get into it.

I don't play TES games continuously throughout the year, but when I do pick one up I generally play about 3-4 hours a day for a good couple of weeks.

I voted for Morrowind because I'm currently playing it more than the others. Next would be Daggerfall, then Oblivion, then Arena. But for overall tonnage of hours played, Oblivion wins. I got that game first, and it was the only one I had for a long time. Now that I have the others, I'm reverse time travelling the ES universe. Overall hours, estmated, Oblivion 6-700 hours, Morrowind 3-400 hours, Daggerfall 50-100 hours, Arena just got out of the starting dungeon.

Right now, I'm so caught up in the ES universe, it's basically all I do with my free time. Damn Bethesda and their game-crack. These games are simply in a class all their own. ALL OF THEM (Fallout 3 included).

No other games on the market (that I've found) recreate that old school PnP RPG feeling so well. I grew up on D+D, AD+D and Traveller, and after me and my friends grew up and went our separate ways, all I could do is miss those times. Now I have my own personal Game Master on my computer and my 360. It's not the same, for sure, but it is a helluva lot of fun. Overall I go through phases, sometimes I play, sometimes I do other stuff, but today I'm into Morrowind, and I'm probably gonna play it all day.

I mostly play daggerfall at the moment, and other Rpgs. Mostly other Rpgs though, so it constitutes playing TES rarely.

I only own Oblivion, therefore I play it the most. But I dont play very often. 1-2 hours a day (and some days without).

Oblivion wins? Just common sense actually. Most new people are buying Oblivion, not Morrowind since Morrowind is older. Thats like... Buying CoD 2 when CoD 5 is out in the shops... Not that I am a CoD player.

But Morrowind is a good game and I have always liked it, I understand why some people are hooked.

I do. I stopped coming to these forums from about June to September 2002 because I couldn't take the constant barrage of negativity directed at Morrowind. After awhile it began to svck the fun out of Morrowind for me. It was nearly as bad as the constant barrage of negativity directed at Oblivion after it was released. And will be, I think it's safe to say, nearly equal to the constant barrage of negativity directed at TESV after it's released.

I can't look at the poor animations in Morrowind anymore. I play Oblivion nowadays. My heavily-modded Oblivion is about as close to perfect as a video game is likely to get in my lifetime.

Morrowind by a landslide. I probably average out 7+ hours a day.

I beg to differ. I'm sure a lot of people will agree with me when I say every TES game is vastly different.

Morrowind is winning :P

Definately Oblivion, to me, it's almost at the peak of perfection, all it needs is DLC for housing and a small party multiplayer option. :)

On a good day, I could sit and paly Morrowind or Daggerfall for 13+ hours, and Ive done it before, i call them crash sessions. I play till I crash and pass out. Ive played all of them, the only one Ive never beat is Daggerfall, even though ive played a crazy amount. In order of most acumelated hours

Morrowind - easily 4000 plus hours mostly on and off since its release. Average 4 hours a day when im playing it consistantly.
Oblivion - 2000+ 2-3 average daily, mostly on since its release
Daggerfall - 200-400 somewhere, I started playing it in between Oblivion and Morrowind sessions, never beat it.
Arena - 100ish. I mostly played it to say that I had beat it. Being a younger TES fan, I was unable to keep myself interested after beating it though,

Poor Arena. If it had any type of self-awareness I would feel bad for it. :(

Oblivion, I voted 1-2 hours a day, although I rarely play them these days, I play them 1-2 hours a day when a newer one has came out in the past 1-3 years.
