End of game to Broken Steel transition crash.

I can see similar things have been discussed. A lot. I haven't seen any real solution to this problem come up.

I have Fallout 3 game of the year edition. I've completed the Point Lookout and The Pitt and I'm level 30.
After I tell Lyons to go into the "kill important characters" room of project purity and the game show the ending Broken Steel starts to load.

I used to get "Modified FEV virus removed" and then it would crash to the desktop. I read some stuff. Listened. Disabled my mods, tried again and now I get a slightly more advanced crash; it gets to "2 weeks later" THEN it crashes. So now we're back.

I do have mods installed. Not a lot because I don't need 500 different pairs of underpants/body mods/sixy companions/sixy poses to perv on my female character because my female character is a male. I'm not saying I'm gay either. I'm just not a pervert.

I have Mothership Crew, TSC Air support, Magnum Black (Black 44 magnum), Killable kids and StreetLights.

Along with these I have Fallout Mod Manager, Fallout Script Extender and Archive Invalidation Invalidated.

There's not a lot in the way of mods here I don't think the problem is with them but I can't be sure so I decided to ask.

Thanks a lot.

I GOT AROUND IT.

I would have said "fixed" it but that's not true. I didn't know what the problem was and I haven't a clue where to start.

For anybody have my trouble using similar things here's what I did.

1. Turn off ALL my mods apart from the official expansions.

2. Using Fallout Mod Manager moved Broken Steel.esm up to the top, just under Fallout3.esm.

3. Loaded a slightly earlier save. (I'm fortunate enough to be addicted to saving every time anything happens.)

I loaded the game and I even had God Mode on and this time it worked.

Now I can't tell you which one of those three things solved the problem, maybe all 3 did but it works now.

Feel free to copy and paste this to help anybody else out.

Thanks.
