Looks like .bsa and/or .ogg files are corrupted

Post » Thu Apr 07, 2011 9:44 pm

The game crashes due to damaged/corrupted menuvoices.bsa and voices.bsa and/or badly encoded .ogg files in them, 'cause when I move these .bsa packages from game's directory, there's no crashes.
Any suggestions what am I supposed to do?
Thnx in advance.

Already tried but zero help.
Anyone knows where can I find these files, maybe extracted from FO3GOTY?

They'll be on the first disc of the GOTY. You can try to manually extract, though it's a longshot. It could work, but I think corrupted files are a bit out of my (limited) area of technical expertise.

I understand.
I simply found a message posted by russian guy. He said that some of .ogg files in menuvoices.bsa and voices.bsa are preventing my game to run correctly because of bad encoding. I've already tried to do it but oggdropxp suddenly stopped responding + it takes a lot of time so I decided to simply find working .bsa files online, but zero luck.
I believed there would be any patch for this problem, but...
Maybe these files are somewhere on gamesas site?

Ok, after some operations I have all my errors fixed with a side-developer's fix.
Thread can be closed, thanks to everyone.
