Starting The Pitt and Anchorage

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 4:54 pm

I have installed the expansions The Pitt and Anchorage and I can't get to them. I am sure that has probably been discussed before but there are hundreds and hundreds of topics and using the search function brings me down to almost 300 topics for each of the above expansions. I would prefer to not spend hours combing the data base for an answer so if someone could give me a link I would appreciate it.

The problem I have is that according to the document provided with the game I am supposed to start Fallout3 from my desktop shortcut and from the top menu choose "Data Files" and make sure the two data files are selected. That selection does not exist. What I have is -

Continue
New
Load
Settings
Crew
LIVE
Downloads (this is grayed out and does not respond)
Quit

So what do I do to get to these expansions?

The option to look at data files woudn't be in the main menu for the game (which is what your looking at)

When you click on the shortcut, does something pop up and give you options? One of these options (besides play and others) should be a "Data Files" selection. If you click on that it would show you it.

If you have installed the two correctly though they should be checked automatically (if I remember correctly) so you may just want to start up a game and see if the messages for them pop up.

Those are the options you will have after the game loads. The Data Files option will only be in the launcher menu. If your shortcut doesn't open the launcher, you can find it in your Fallout 3 directory. It's called FalloutLauncher.exe

Thank you Mister Nutsy, that took me to the startup page and all data files are selected already.

After loading the disk a few days ago, I started the game with that disk in the dvd drive and played for 3 hours wandering around the wasteland exploring with my Super Mutant buddy. There was no new quest added for the Pitt. I will go back to the game and see if I missed the radio signal for Anchorage.

Hi people,

I am having to check the boxes for the DLC's within the fallout3 launcher, yet I still do not get any radio signals, so maybe its an installation problem. One thing is they are not automatically selected.
