[Relz] Havish Mini Patch

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 4:52 am

Yes, just in time for Christmas, an update to my Havish patch. This one should finally quash the last of the positioncell / CTD bugs in Havish. At least I certainly hope it does... :wacko:

Havish Mini-Patch
Version 2.0 (24/12/2010)

REQUIREMENTS:
==============================================

Bloodmoon, Tribunal, and v1.3 of Havish.

==============================================
ABOUT THIS MOD:
===============================================

A small patch for the mod Havish, by JOG. This mod fixes errors within the "Fighters Guild: A Visitor from Havish" and "Thieves Guild: The Damsel in Distress" quests that would cause Morrowind to crash with a generic Windows error on quest completion. Both quests can now be safely (and properly) completed.

Version 2.0 now includes a fix for the equally troublesome "Mages Guild: Teleporter Crystals" quest.

Released with JOG's permission. Cleaned with TESAME.

===============================================
INSTALLATION / UPGRADING:
===============================================

Extract the .esp file to your Data Files directory. In the Morrowind Launcher, select Data Files and check the box next to the Havish Mini Patch.esp.

To uninstall, simply uncheck the Havish Mini Patch.esp in the Morrowind Launcher.

Upgrading from v1.0 should be seamless. Overwrite the old .esp with the new and, if necessary, sync to load list / repair your save with Wrye Mash. To avoid disrupting load orders too much I've given v2 the same timestamp as v1.0.

===============================================
KNOWN ISSUES OR BUGS:
===============================================

- Speaking with the Artemis NPC in his Havish home after completing his Fighters Guild quest, if the player is not also a member of the Havish Thieves' Guild, causes the game to crash for reasons unknown. Since it isn't necessary for you to speak with Artemis ever again after the FG quest if you aren't a TG member, however, this shouldn't be too big of an issue. If anyone can figure out a fix for this, please let me know.

- If you enable this patch when the "Fighters Guild: A Visitor From Havish" quest is already active, you'll end up with two Artemis Entreri NPCs in the Lucky Lockup. This IS NOT a doubling issue--the two NPCs have unique IDs--so it's annoying, but harmless. The only Artemis who will speak to you about the FG quest, and update/complete the quest, is the Artemis NPC added by this mod.

VERSION HISTORY
===============================================

v1.0 -- initial public release.
v2.0 -- fixed a CTD during the "Mages Guild: Teleporter Crystals" quest.

===============================================
INCOMPATIBILITIES & SAVED GAME WARNINGS:
===============================================

Always back up your save before use. This mod IS SAFE to use with existing save games; however, be sure to clean your save with Wrye Mash after adding the mod into your save.

Integrating this patch into a game where either the "Fighters Guild: A Visitor From Havish" or "The Damsel in Distress" quest is active may cause some bizarre results (see Known Issues), but you will still be able to finish the quests normally. (Activating the patch while the "Teleporter Crystals" quest is active should not produce any weirdness.)

There are no known mod conflicts with this patch.

===============================================
CREDITS & USAGE:
===============================================

Thanks to JOG, for creating Havish. This patch has been released with his kind and generous permission.

Also thanks to:

* walfre, for inspiring this patch, and for bringing the issue with the Fighters' Guild quest to my attention
* cyran0, for writing the script which made the Mages' Guild quest fix possible.
