Alright, well, I am a RPer (and writer), but with a fanfiction contest, we need to have an art contest. This is an idea.

We would have judges, and people would enter monthly (or 2 or 3 months). Several weekly votes would be held to determine finalist in the next round (one drawing would be eliminated every week, the one with the fewest votes. If two were tied, both would be eliminated.) Just an idea. We could have yearly awards as well.

What do you guys think?

Art's a bit harder to judge than writing, and none of us here are really art critics. Not to mention few enough of us are artists. But hey, who am I to decide when I can hardly make a convincing stick figure? Go ahead, it sounds interesting :goodjob:

Well I've studied art for the last 6 or so years of my life so I could judge. Would be best served making categories (the same way as feyfolken) and what not. Though thankfully there isnt a limit to size/words like you would have with writing, just a dead line. Could do themes like "A famous battle" Or "a famous character" or "A famous place" or "Conceptual designs", conceptual being ideas and looks for Races and places we havent yet seen etc etc.

We could try it. I can draw fairly well. Too bad I cant get it on to the computer

I was thinking more of public voting as well. All we need is 5 entries.

Perhaps we could just do one vote, and that is the winner for the month.

Its only fair, not every one is good with a pen but they can be awesome on a computer, or vice versa.

There is a difference between 3D graphics and such, and even hand drawn, but really, we would have to have enough people. It would depend.

We may have to tie in categories as well.
