Post » Sat May 28, 2011 1:01 pm

i was watching a interview on Brink and from what the guy in the interview said it seems like you can fight against AI bots in multiplayer
here is the vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cTGKYMIRf20 @4:18 - 4:24
does he mean we will be able to play against AI bots? perhaps like in black ops?

I think you can fight with you and seven bots on your side and eight bots on the enemy side or, you and your seven friends against eight bots or, you and your seven bots against your seven friends and one bot. I think you can play with the teams set up however you like!

On default settings, if there is no open lobby available, a game will start with you and 15 bots, instead of waiting for other players.

However, the matchmaking system will keep replacing bots with actual players. Whenever a player drops in or out, he replaces or is replaced by a bot.

From what I've heard, bots were usually as good as other players.

I like what you did there.

But yeah, Splash Damage has really emphasized the game's ability to keep the teams full (8v8); if players quit, they are replaced by AI, and when players join, they take the place of AI. Which is a great feature and hopefully establishes the new standard of multiplayer gaming, along with SMART.

On PC that is.

If consoles have private lobbies, you'll probably be able there as well. But I think it's not possible in matchmaking.
