adjusting experience gaining

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 1:46 pm

hi i was wondering if there is a easy aka simpel way of adjusting xp gains so that u could for instance only get xp from completed quests or lockpicks/ terminal cracks and not from the kills u make in the waistland
i am trying to check if u can go the full 30 levels with only quest / lockpicking / computer hacking rewards

I don't think you can. I asked about this a long time ago. I had some enemies in a simulation, and I did not want them granting the player experience. I think we decided it could not be done, but perhaps someone knows a way.

i was just hoping that there was a list some where or something else that could be altered so killing critters in the waistalnd would not speed level u while exploring

There's a bunch of settings that control how much XP you get from a kill, though I'm not sure if you can turn it off altogether. Just go into Gameplay/Settings and do a filter search for XP.

As I remember I found somewhere in GECK 5 different values for Very Easy, Easy, Normal, Hard, Very Hard creatures. You can change these values to 0, so you won't get any exp from killing them. Go to Gameplay->Settings in GECK and write in filter "ixp" and it will show you all values which give you XP.
