Question about Total Conversion mods

Post » Mon Apr 04, 2011 11:46 pm

Hi, I have a simple question about Total Conversion mods such as MERP.

If I install a Total Conversion mod, does it completely overwrites my Oblivion game or is it just a completely different world space?

Will I still be able to go back to play my Oblivion world IF it's a different character and a different save?

Thanks.

With MERP you can still play the vanilla game, or modded, or whatever you like, as all it does is add a new worldspace. However, it is best to create a new save profile with Wrye Bash and then only have MERP loaded, as having in the wrong load order can screw things and some mods may want to be where MERP needs to be. Also, loading MERP alongside your normal game just makes it take slightly longer to load than without it.

TO get to middle earth you have to COW middleearth x, y or go to the chapel in (Chorrol, I think) and get some spells.
