any way i try to install daggerfall and everything is going well until i get to step 12 type INSTALL i type it but all i get is illegal command
so please someone help me

I assume you are following the official instructions? Try following these instructions instead:

You either messed up mounting in DOSbox, or you didn't navigate to the right directory before typing Install. Follow the instructions precisely to the letter.
