(Request) Transparent mesh I can um.. let me explain..

I don't know how to summarize this in small enough language to put in a topic title.

Excuse me if my ability to explain myself is poor.. I'm usually better at this, but I can't quite find the words I'm looking for, so I apologize for any lack of clarity in the following post.

For the quest I am doing, I need the ability to have a glowing image (example: a glyph) hang in mid air. Now some similar meshes exist in the vanilla database, usually taking the form of beams of light..

What I need is a square mesh that lacks collision that I can simply place anywhere in the world. It would need to be transparent, except for a glow map I apply to it. Like I said, the exact same thing, but the wrong shape, exists within the vanilla database. I would use that, except it's just unsuitable due to its size and the fact it stretches the texture.

The textures I can do myself, but I need the ability to have glowing glyphs floating in mid air for this quest to really look right.

Would anyone be able to help? I would appreciate it, genuinely.

Can't you just make a mesh in the shape of the glyph?

i did this when i wanted to make pop-up zombies (thoughi added animation for them).

Created a double-sided 1 face mesh in blender then cut down the rectangle to a good size and applied my texture. Works pretty good and only take s few minutes, if you want me ot make it for you PM the image.

@Shady: you could do that....but it would be very fiddly and harderly any difference.

Could you get by with using a cobweb mesh with your own texture on it instead of the web? They're reasonably square but it isn't 100% clear just how large or small a shape you need.
