Where's Mah Pre-Order Bonus?

Post » Thu Apr 14, 2011 6:39 pm

OBLIGATORY PRE-POST NOTE: inb4 "use search you noob." I DID! I didn't see anything, but it's also 3am so I coulda overlooked it. Oh well! You'll live!

Now on to business..

Clear and simple: I pre-ordered Brink from my local Gamestop last week so I could get dat DOOM bonus pack (gotta love me some DOOM).
All I got was a receipt though, no code or anything.

So my question is this: was I supposed to get a code or something other than just a receipt, or do we not get codes until the game comes out?

I'm asking because on Gamestop's website it says that information is supposed to be available on pre-order in-stores.

Thanks,
-Me

Well, i assume that the code will be in the game case when you get it, like most other pre-ordered games, i got a peice of paper in my fallout new vegas case when i got it and there was a code on it for the mercanary pack, even tho i didn't pre-order but bought from stores on day 1.

Yeah, this here. And we don't tell you to search unless it's a repeated topic.

You'll probably get the code with the game.

Some stores send it with E-Mail, I heard.

You usually get like a coupon inside the Game where the User Manual is, more or less like behind that.

Also, it is a possibility that some companies will actually E-Mail you your code(s)

I heard you have to stomp really loud in the store crying and complaining till you get it, usually works for me!

But Seriously, they give it to you in the game case.

Thanks for the replies, guys.
I was wondering though since I thought I saw some people talking about how they got their codes already.

With ET:QW I got a game case with the bonuses in it when I pre-ordered, so I figured SD would do it the same way with Brink but I guess not.
I just reeeeeeally don't want to get to release day to find out I was supposed to get my code earlier.

Worked fine for assassins creed though I would have preferred a hard copy.

Actually, you don't get a pre-order bonus, it was all a ploy to boost sales.
No, not really, you just have to wait like everyone else said. Though regardlessly I would still pre-order the game even if I didn't get anything for it!

If you pre-order the PC version from Game, you have to pay £5 extra for the "special edition" to get the doom or spec ops stuff.

Looks like a British issue to me.
I'm talking about the U.S.

EDIT: I also see you said Game, not Gamestop, so nevermind lol.
Sounds like Game is a rip-off.
