Installing / using mods for dummies.

So I've never used mods before, mostly because I've never had a computer good enough to run anything :P
But since I've recently upgraded my PC and can run FO3 great, I was just wondering if anyone can dumb down the whole process of actually getting them into my game, as I'm God awful with all things electronic.

Installation

Unpack this archive into your Fallout 3\Data\ directory and check the esp in Data Files when you run the Fallout 3 Launcher.

If you are not already doing so, you should install Archive Invalidation Invalidated! when using any mods that add new content: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=944

This mod adds files in the following locations:

From the http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4616 I was thinking about getting ( just for the bandannas though :3 )

I looked at it and died a little inside, it might as well be in こんにちは。for all the good it does me. I know it's probably something simple I'm over-complicating, but meh. I'd rather ask for help then spend hours and hours trying and getting nowhere, or knowing me somehow destroying my computer.
So anywho, any help here would be very much appreciated. :)

I can't say 100% for this mod, but most of them can be installed using FOMM package manager.

1) Open FOMM then click on package manger.
2) Click the tab "Add New" (you may need to navigate to where you saved the file to.)
3) Open the file, then activate it.
4) Make sure the mod is showing up in your load order and checked (texture replacers won't show)

Give FOMM time to accomplish this, it may appear to freeze depending on which mod you are installing.

If you're going to manually install the mod (which some mods advise to) make sure you have 7zip. It's free, and probably the best program of it's kind.

Download the mod, and open the file with 7zip's file manager which will extract everything that is in the file. Choose fallout's data folder as the destination to extract the stuff to, and let 7zip do it's thing. Some mods have different options, so you may have to extract the meshes/textures/sounds to the data folder and choose which .esp you want and put that in the data folder. edit: and start FOMM (download it if you don't have it, get FOSE too) and check the box next to it.

I''m probably not describing this that well. It's simpler than it looks, trust me on that. I felt like I was reading greek when I installed my first mod, and now I've probably got at least 40, 50 if not more mods.
