Mods For Replaying Morrowind?

Post » Sun Apr 17, 2011 11:28 pm

I'm requesting everyones suggestions for mods that would keep Morrowind different, fresh, and interesting through my umpteenth playthrough. It's been a long time since I've played Morrowind or tried any of the recent mods. My HD has recently been re-formatted so I've lost anything I've had installed anyway.

I'm looking for things like:

Changing Locations of Artifacts
New Worlds
New Cities
Different Main Quests, or alternate Main Quest paths (I really want this one)
Changes spawns, adds new loot
New hard to find artifacts
New types of dungeons and/or landscape
Fixed economy (and so it's way harder to get loads of gold)
A mod that adds more monsters (monsters that stay true to the feel of morrowind only, please)
New skill or professions
Balance mods
Anything else that might make Morrowind a better experience

I'm not really too interested in mods that add better graphics, though.

Thanks in advance!

About a week ago I had the same idea, playing Morrowind again after a period of over a year at least. I found a lot of mods with http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1155980-povuholos-tomorrowind-a-mod-recommendations-list-for-today/. And you can always read through http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1060141-mod-recommendations-for-new-players/.

About the alternative main quest: I had a lot of fun with http://lovkullen.net/Emma/Kateri.htm or try some of the Sixth House mods.

http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=8707 and http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=4077 add a lot of new roleplaying apsects to the game.
The http://www.lgnpc.org/ add a lot of new content and depth to many of the NPCs.

For new quests, dungeons or landmasses, search through those categories at PES. The links that Darium gave are also great.

i'll shamelessly self promote a bit as well. im working on expanding factions. i add functions to each faction for being its leader, and toughen up the requirements.

GIANTS ----adds many new monsters to the world

People still use this mess?

Creatures is much better, and doesn't break any modding rules.

Giants was the first mod I ever downloaded, before back in 2003 before I knew about levelled lists and the like. Hoy boy, was that messy.

For alternative main quest I strongly recommend Great House Dagoth, it is in my opinion the best quest/mainquest modification available today.
