Nobody knows since the game has yet to be announced.

There was a rumor going around when the Elder Scrolls novel was approaching release that TESV was taking place 200 years after Oblivion.

That may not be the case, but I figure that the game will at least take place after the books; so, it's at least 50 years after Oblivion.

It's going to be a future based combat game. Giant cityies will look small from the viewing dock of your spaceship.
The Main quest is focused around taking down a mutant Argonian that plans to nuke the Earth, will you and your trusty laser rifle save the galaxy?

That seems more logical. 200 years seems a bit much to me.
