ATI Eyefinity + MGE Questions

Post » Wed Apr 20, 2011 6:13 am

Hey guys. So recently I started playing Morrowind again with MGE and the FPS Optimizer to get Eyefinity working. Everything's working perfectly, but I do have one question.

So two small UI's on the bottom right and left hand corner of the screen are all the way on the edge of my side monitors. Is there anyway to get those little UI's to my middle monitor? I'll include a screen shot since I don't always make my questions clear, lol.

Also, I noticed that ever since using MGE, Morrowind's sky will often glitch. I'm not sure if it's because I didn't set a certain draw distance setting right, or the cell counts are too low/high or anything. I just know that it can get annoying at times. Here are a couple of screen shots.

Any help on either of these questions would greatly be appreciated. Thanks!

Don't quote me on this, but the UI elements size and position is in the INI, partially at least. You may be able to change that, although it will be resolution-dependent.

Hmm, thanks for the quick reply. I'd totally take a crack at it, but I'm not sure what value in the INI I'd need to change to move those two specific UI's around. I guess someone who is a lot more savvy with modding than my self would know.

IIRC, the sections and keys are relatively well labeled. There should be a
[Section]# thenkeys=with, lots, of, 22, numbers

I don't have an INI in front of me, so I'll check later and get back to you if I find anything (and nobody else has). :)

Thanks, much appreciated. Man, so much work to replay one of my favorite games!

Also, I have found the problem with the glitchy skies. In Morrowind Graphics Extender, when I enable "Update shaders with depth info" it causes that sky texture issue. Not sure why MGE would have that issue. So now, I cannot use Shader effects if I don't want glitchy skies, as no Shader effects will work without that option enabled. Bummer.

Glitchy skies issue has been fixed. Now if I just need to figure out that little UI annoyance.

I haven't been courageous enough to go try that INI file. Before I do so (and possibly mess up my current one) can someone else confirm this?

Just make a backup of your INI (copy and paste, then name it morrowind.backup.ini) and have at the original. In case things go horribly wrong, I think Yacoby keeps a clean INI on his site.
