Fallout 3 New Game Problem (This is a bit different...)

Post » Wed Apr 20, 2011 9:04 am

Hello! So, a few minutes ago, I was having the same problems as everyone else (the game crashing immediately after clicking "New Game"). I looked around the internet and found a .dll file (d3d9) that was supposed to fix everything. It didn't. Now, when I start the game and the main menu comes up, I click on the ''New Game'' button, then I click "Yes" when it asks me if I want to start a new game, and nothing happens. It acts like I click the "No" button and nothing starts. No loading screens or anything come up at all. It just sits there like I didn't click anything. I'm running Windows 7 64-bit and I have a crappy little integrated Intel HD graphics processor on my laptop. I'm seriously at a stand still here, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
Kyle

The game was not made to run on Intel integrated chipsets. There is a .dll file that may help some people but that is not guaranteed to work. Also downloading .dll files can be very dangerous, causing damage to the OS or possible overheating of the GPU itself. It would be best to wait until you can run the game on a PC without an Intel video chipset.
