SS-9967 stalks the waters of the Pacific, lone in the world, the submarine sails on. It belongs to the Russian Navy. Russia, and most of Europe, still stands. Many cities remain destroyed, but are rebuilt. The European Union is organized to prevent further war. But still, war remains. Tribals who deny the authority of the EU are crushed swiftly. Africa is never explored, in a Nuclear wasteland, the area that was once deathly desert inhabited with many nomads is inhabited by few nomads, and most creatures in it are dogs, adapted to the desert. The equatorial Africa is a jungle of all sorts of mutants. No one dares to go in, because whoever goes in, doesn't come back out....The Middle East remains war torn, tribals fighting over the remnants of the cities. City states like The Order of the Knights of Jerusalem. A faction that remains mainly in Iran, Pakistan, parts of Iraq, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan are united under the "Middle Eastern Alliance". China is in nuclear ruins, Beijing is a smoldering ruins. North Korea is no better, South Korea invaded the North just days after The Great War, without China's backing, there was nothing to defend North Korea from the South's onslaught. The North Americas fared no better than China. Nuclear devices were set off in most cities, millions died. America is smoldering ruins, it is considered worse than China is. The Russians have initiated "Operation Red October" to scout, and repopulate The Americas. Other EU nations like Italy, Spain, and England also sent men. Spain got to the Cuban and The Caribbean, the English got Eastern US, and Italians got Canada, or so it was planned. Russia was to get Western Americas, which included Vancouver, Seattle, Tijuana, and others. Soon, America will be greeted by a landing force of about seven-hundred Russian troopers will come to the shores of California.

Private Dimitri Ivanov-Third Army Corps-Kalingrad Class Landing Craft-April 2, 2300.
I walked around the wooden deck of the Kuzenetsov, the blue skies and bright sun lighting up the day. I was a mere Private in the Red Army, was part of the Third Army Corps, a Corps chosen by the Kremlin to go to the Former America and set up colonies.
"Hello Dimitri!" Said Ivan Mikhailov, a fellow solider
"Ivan!" I said back, Ivan was one of my only friends.
"Dimitri, apparently, we are right off the coast of America. See?" Ivan said, He pointed to the east. I saw small little towers pointing out of the coastline. "Apparently, that's 'Los Angeles'. A Pre-War City."
I looked in amazement, I could only stare at the city. "When will we get there?" I said finally.
"I don't know, either tonight or tomorrow morning." Ivan said, he then started to walk off, probably to find the SCO of our expedition. I walked over to the stairs that led down into the ship. I walked down them, and to where we troops slept. I climbed in my bunk, and drifted to sleep. I awoke two hours later, It was night fall now. I picked up my rifle, which was a Mosin Nagant, and started cleaning it. More of the men poured back into their bunks. I couldn't wait until we landed on the shores of America. I hoped I would be the first person to step foot on the soil. I laid back down, dreaming of the Americas.
