August GI Cover Almost Definitely Not TESV

Post » Sat Apr 23, 2011 5:24 am

The fact that there was a http://twitter.com/GI_AndyMc/status/17995674318 from Andy McNamara (Game Informer's editor) posted five hours ago...

Cover reveal in the morning. I can't tell you but I'm pretty sure you can guess. Art is amazing in my opinion.

....combined with the http://twitter.com/biofeed/status/17978118519 from Bioware's official twitter account...

2morrow will be a great day for BioWare fans. Just sayin'

...and thrown in the pot with the fact that EA http://kotaku.com/5581903/dragon-age-2-made-official-today-err-tomorrow that Dragon Age 2 is in development as of today....

Currently announced projects at BioWare include the development of ongoing downloadable content for Mass Effect 2, one of the highest rated video games of all time, Dragon Age 2, the highly anticipated sequel to 2009's "RPG of the Year" Dragon Age: Origins, and the story-driven massively multiplayer online game, Star Wars: The Old Republic.

...pretty much wraps up any hope for a Game Informer cover, I'd say. Sorry guys, I know the news isn't exactly what we wanted, but that's how these things go sometimes.

I for one, am really looking forward to Dragon Age 2.

I guess we'll wait and see what Quake Con brings us.

Yeah, I'm gonna say goodbye to this thread.

Even if it does get locked, it served its purpose - the news is in one place, easy for others to see and read, and when the new speculation thread goes up (whenever that is) enough people will know that they'll be able to spread the news there.

True. I'm still going to hope it's TES V.

I'm a fan of Bioware, but I don't want to see DA2 so soon...

I agree, most definitely Dragon Age 2 on tomorrow's GI cover. But I still have a wee bit of hope left that it's TES V. Just a wee bit.

It could be TES:V, Dragon Age 2, Knights of the Old Republic, I would be happy with any of those announcements, but that's just me.

My pants remain sufficiently unsoiled. Probably a good thing in the immediacy.

Really though. Of all Bioware games, I DON'T want to see DA 2...

Hell, I still haven't finished the original. The ambition was lost somewhere around the game's midsection. So I'm rather ho-hum. Would have much rather seen American McGee's Alice 2 instead, if it couldn't be TES:V.

I loved DA1, it's just too soon...

I said that in the other speculation threads.

I don't think anyone does, they wouldn't have spent enough time on it, none the less, I would still buy it and most likely enjoy it. Though it's not a wanted announcement for tomorrow, it would be one I would be happy with.

What is this "too soon" nonsense? I swear to god Bethesda fans suffer from battered wife syndrome. Not every studio needs four years to make a quality game. In fact the vast majority don't.

I crapped a brick. I'm going to go throw it at the head of Bioware's head.

But maybe the GI artwork just looks cool, and isn't supposed to be a crap factor because of substance.

I've been an unspoken follower of these threads for the past few days and I just wanted to say this: Why the hell did Bethesda file a trademark that gets cut off on the July 31st with no intention of announcing the game. It kind of makes me wonder if the game is going to be in Skyrim. But that wouldn't explain the new trademark...

Well, they're still pumping out DLC for the original, aren't they? And really, it's been less than 9 months since DA:O came out. Three or four years might not be needed, but I would hope they at least have a long stretch of development after announcement.

It's not the quality factor, it's the entertainment factor.

I will not be exited for a sequel to such a fresh game, but I can't wait to get it or I get some stupid penalty(Because EA need more money). Just like DA1 and ME 2 I'll have to get it new to get online stuff for free, or spend more money in the long run.

It's indeed not about TESV, so it has no place in this forum. If you want to discuss Dragon Age 2, then go to the Community Discussion, thanks.
