Biding my time 'til Skyrim...

Post » Tue Apr 26, 2011 12:46 pm

I'm on the PS3 and am thinking of picking up a new game to pass the time until the next Elder Scrolls installment. I'm stuck deciding between Red Dead Redemption and Mass Effect 2. Thoughts?

Nope...as a PS3 gamer, I wasn't graced with its presense. It's one of the things holding me back a little actually.

Hmm, I would say ME2, but since you haven't played the first it may not be as good as it could be. I didn't really like Red Dead that much, do you want something more rpg or action oriented?

Interesting. I'm hoping you didn't make it. Because thats taking a joke too far. Something I never do, never.

Red Dead any way. You'll probably get more time out of it.

I personally have found that neither of them has given me much incentive to replay. Oh, ME2 might give you branching options, but I can't be bothered. If you want to be tided over for another nine and a half months then you're going to need something a little more substantial. Might I suggest Borderlands, or Assassin's Creed Brotherhood? Both have excellent multiplayer.

I would do Red Dead first and then after about a month maybe of playing it trade and or buy ME2. Then after that go find another game to hold you off for a month. IMO there isn't a single game that has been able to hold me over for months at a time since Morrowind.

Instead of getting one Big game, get like 5 or 6 used games bro.

I gotta highly reccomend Little Big Planet/

ME2 is epic, RDR is open. Depends on what you want more. Lack of knowledge about ME1 is not a problem with the PS3 version, though. Just remember to replace "all life" with "all advanced life" when it's said in the opening comic. You'll know it when you see it.
