Missing Broadsword Imperial Mesh

Post » Tue Apr 26, 2011 3:17 pm

Every time when I enter an area where there are imperials I get two warnings :
Tes3 Stream Warning: Model
"Meshes\w\W_Broadsword_Imperial.nif" not found "tx_w_Imperial_Broadsword_Blade01.bmp" Continue running executable

And the second one: Texture Load error
TX_W_Imperial_Broadsword_Blade01.bmp

Once I press continue running executable the game continues normally and I don't notice anything wrong, but these warning sure are annoying.

Do you know what might be wrong and how can I fix it? I would post my load order but I don't know how.

Oh great, it seems that the bug just became game breaking. When I tried to load my last save the game minimized and the same error message appeared, but when I tried to maximize the window I got the wonderful CTD :( .

I had this same problem a few days ago, and I'm not sure what caused it. I just deleted the W_Broadsword_imperial.nif file. Then Morrowind will use it's imperial broadsword thats in the mesh.bsa.

Thank you, that solved it! :foodndrink: Yes, I use DN Weapons and that mod added that nif file. Did you encounter any other problems with other weapons?

No, just that weapon. I think this is a common issue, and I don't know what causes it. One would think you would get that message as soon as you start the game, but it takes it a few game hours in for it to happen. That weapon could be on a leveled list I'm not really sure.

Its good that this is the only weapon with problems, and now the problem is gone and I can happily play my game :)
