Amazon shipping.

I recently bought a new pc case (CM 690 adv II) love this case. Any who, I also bought a clear side panel for it sold on amazon. Bought on the 16th, selected standard shipping 3-5 business days and guess what? Amazon says, "Delivery estimate: February 11, 2011 - March 14, 2011, Not Yet Shipped " Thats potentially... 8 weeks from purchase date!!! It says they have the item in stock and that its being sold by Amazon themselves not some other company so what gives!? I should have received it today, not 7 weeks from now, this is just absurd!

Would anyone know whats going on? Have experience with this from amazon? What should I do? This really cannot be right... :(

I know its an odd place to ask such an odd question, but w/e. Guess my best bet it to send an email directly to help and complain/ask.

There's a shipping wait and a delivery wait. I've never seen an eight week maximum before, but I haven't used Amazon enough to come across that. I highly doubt you'll be waiting until March. Most of the items I've bought there have told me I could be waiting for up to four weeks, but the longest I've waited was one (only counting after it was shipped out). And yes, if you have a concern, contacting the seller directly is your best bet. If it's from Amazon's warehouse, though, I don't know. I've only ever contacted marketplace sellers.

Probably a delay from the supplier. Standard shipping of 3-5 business days doesn't include internal processing. I'd bet the chassis is being slowed up in China. Since the product has not "shipped" you should be able to cancel the order and order eslewhere.

Alright, thanks, the seller is amazon so hopefully it wont take all 8 weeks then :x

From the holidays perhaps? Its only the side panel, I bought the chassis off newegg and got it in like 3 days (standard shipping, crazy fast!!) I'd have bought it elsewhere but no other place I know of sells the side panel with the window... not even ebay!

I've noticed that Amazon always gives you really conservative delivery estimates. I generally get anything I order from them (which is quite a lot of stuff) well before their delivery estimate, except for the odd exceptional case.

I bought 3 things, from 3 vendors on Amazon (one was Amazon) the week of Christmas. I paid the rush shipping for one (present) and got it Dec 23. The other 2 were standard shipping and due the middle of January. They arrived Dec. 24.

I'd say the dates are more of a guess than a promise.

I emailed them, they gave me free 1 day shipping upgrade, but it'll still take a while cause its apparently a special order item. Good customer service though, they didnt have to give me the upgraded shipping so I'll probably at least get it a week faster than normal :)

Most likely as Coolermaster is Chinese. HQ is in Taiwan, and Manufacturing Plant is in China. Obviously, there are branch offices in the United States, but if the chassis is out of stock then it is coming from China.
