I Recommend Do Not Buy BRINK!

Post » Thu May 26, 2011 11:41 pm

BRINK is a FREEZING MENACE!!!!!
Almost every second Game Freezes, Solo, MP, Missions it doesn′t matter which mode you play.
I tried it on my regular 360 and on my brand new 360 Slim.
So what NOW....waiting for a fix that almost takes weeks to go through the MS certification process????
Than i Recommend to everybody who has NOT bought the game yet, to wait for the price drop first.
Cause by the time this will be fixed, the game goes Low Budget Price!!!!!!
Great Try Splash Damage :celebration: BUT YOU UTTERLY FAILED. BIG TIME
Beside the A.I is also more than WORSE. Your Team always go for the Posts and never for the main objective,
the medics are always die in gunfire while trying to rush to you.
Your opponent Team A.I is way better and you always feel outnumbered. I mean you can do everything on your own,
but shouldn′t be BRINK a Team Based Game????? That′s no fun at all.
And if you force me to play online to get my things done the proper way, then please DON′T advertise this as
an Singleplayer Team Based Game with great A.I at all.

Gladly i have a PATCH....called L.A NOIR
I am happy of every cent i put in the Preorder on L.A Noir cause this game i tell ya WON′T have such issues.
Like Red Dead it plays like a charm on release day.
Even with FALLOUT NEW VEGAS i have 10000 times less freezing, it plays like heaven for me.
Yes i got a bad feeling about this BRINK, that′s why i rented it first. :foodndrink:

Please Stop Releasing Unfinished and Untested Games like BRINK!!!!!!

So NO BUY for me, Thanx (maybe in 6 month for 15 Bucks without freezing if that ever happen,

I've played this game far longer than you've probably did - and I didn't freeze once.

Just because something bad is happening to you, does not mean that the whole game - and everyone who has it, is having the same experiences as you.

However he is entitled to his opinion. Based on what I've experienced with the game, I wouldn't recommend buying it. I'd recommend waiting a few weeks, or renting it and keeping it until they patch it before deciding.

I've some lag problems with public matches, but in private games with friends we've had little to no lag at all. I've had the game in my 360 since Tuesday morning and it's been played regularly and I have yet to have a single freeze. Maybe you got a bad disc.

I'm just glad they acknowledeged the lag issue and are working on a fix. I'm not happy with it, but I'll give them a month to get everything up and going. Until then I'll enjoy my private matches with no lag.

That's really strange because I've had no freezing yet and I've played for a good number of hours. To be fair you sound like your trolling.

Did you try RDR multiplayer on release day? It was glitchy as hell. Be patient.

Nope, in no way i am trolling.
I am always known for helping people out.
This is just my opinion after trying to play BRINK. It fails, period.
But there are for sure many people here who will gladly sell You their copy for 60 Bucks to get rid off this crap
so called BRINK.
Best Regards

Graphic Issues, Bot issues, lag issues...they should have done better. Hope someone gets fired for this. But on the other hand, I still love the game

YES, fully agree with You on that. But you could enjoy a TOP NOTCH Singleplayer in the meantime!!!!
If only the Multiplayer would be a freezing problem on BRINK, beside a few other glitches, fine.
BUT what they deliver here is a completely broken game (sounds hard, but if youre not able to play without freezing.),
And so it makes Singleplayer unplayable.
And we are talking about Hard Freezes. How many times you think is healthy for a console to shut the thing
off and on after a Hard Freeze. No, i am not willing to risk my 360.

I don't think PaladinLaCruz is trolling, I do see her (assuming by the pic) point. I was having great issues trying to play online when I first got the game, even after the patch. My Question to PaladinLaCruz, did you try clearing your cache, installing your game to HD, and reinstalling the patch? I did and have had very few problems since. Btw, the AI is as not actually broken, it is as SD programed it, there is a good video on youtube where machima talks to the art director about some of these issues. They thought that people wanted to be "the hero" so they just made the AI work like support. Plus they level with you, so as you rank up they learn. They will change that in the next patch as it is no what the masses want. I am sad to hear you are so angry, but you need to remember, your experience is not everyone elses. But I agree P2P may kill this game if it doesnt get patched properly soon, or servers added. I too rented and will be buying the game.

I hope my sugestions help, and remember.... Developers are people too.

This game is like the ugly girlfriend who is awesome in the sack.

You are embarrassed to be seen in public with her, you refuse to take her out to dinner but you will totally booty call her as long as she parks down the street.

Thanks Brink, you are a fat ugly chick with a a seriously awesome mouth.

Wow the interview highlights how SD has zero clue about what we want. When the interviewer asks about the ability to bring 6 friends into Freeplay, he stammers, studders and then resorts back to 'going to Private and setting anything up you like"

Nuts.

its not the freezing issue its the lag issue im sticking with it people have made some major points that i agree with but ill eat this mistake if thats what this game is ,the one thing i do wonder is this why did they not take a copy home first and try it out on a regular ol 360 also we are 5 years into the 360 in the older generations of consoles most games towards the end of the system would look amazing i am tired of unfinished games at this point not to bash but fallout vegas hella fun glitchy as all hell !!! i really want to be excited about Rage and skyrim but now it looks like gears of war 3 and C.O.D MW3 will be my shooter preorders for the after summer time. There are to many FPS so people move fast and on to the next game !!!! Halo Reach is great and look how many hate on it the gears3 beta goes to show that you need your teammates to survive but kills are more important so you can unlock stuff!!!! Have fun all!!! i really want this game to work out please splash damage !!!!!and Bethesda your name is on this do something major pull stars out of the sky !!! patch this game to what it was supposed to be and then even further!!!!!!

Hm...strange.

I've played through all the campaigns in SP.
And I've played through all of Resistance and most of Security on MP.
Then I finished nearly all the challenges.

I'm level 16 right now and I've NEVER had the game freeze on me.
I've also worked tech support in my life before and I've learned that 99% of the time when someone is angry at the software/hardware it's usually as a result of their own incompetence.

Just a thought.

Red Dead Redemption and Grand Theft Auto both had their share of glitches. My copy of Red Dead game froze about ten times in the first first ten hours of gameplay, there were collision detection issues that literally killed my character, his horse, or both, and, if you check on youtube, you can see that character models got swapped a lot (check out the http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jVVXyKP1FVk or the http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYdCvN-ukRY). A lot of these issues still exist within the game of Red Dead Redemption, too. Recently, I was running a lot the desert and a cougar fell on me from the sky. It was very Benny Hill.

Don't even get me started on either of the Fallout games. Both froze repeated and managed to cause some strange issues. At one point in Fallout 3, there was a waterfall of bodies outside of Paradise Falls, my game froze, and all of my save data (even the saves for my other characters) became corrupted. I still love them though.

I will agree that Brink does have it's fair share of issues with online lag, lack of lobbies, or ability to create multiplayer parties, but, right now, you're comparing it to a game that isn't out and may have its own fair share of issues. That you haven't found them (or haven't played the game because it's not out until the 17th) doesn't surprise me. A lot of my friends have had seamless experiences with games that I have froze, lagged, and broke.
