Geck Door Problem

Post » Fri Apr 29, 2011 11:37 am

Hi,

Fairly new to modding -- im trying to connect a door from a custom worldspace (exterior) to a indoor utility room ive created (interior).
I start with the exterior door, click teleport, connect via reference in object window, and select interior door.

Now, when i test the mod fallout 3 and i select the exterior door, it says: This door is activated elsewhere

Please help! =)

The vanilla door you are using probably has a script on it that displays that message.

Quick question, vanilla means an original fallout 3 item, correct?

So my solution would be to.... use a different door?

Yes, vanilla is the original game that is unmodded.
Your solution would be to make a copy of the door you want and remove the script from your copy of the door.
And then replace the vanilla door with your copy of the door. Use the >Edit >Search & Replace to change the door out in your cell without having to delete it.
