DistandLOD Problems

It would seem that I've "lost" my distantLOD .. I can prove it! Take a look at http://img13.imageshack.us/i/oblivion201004081024332.jpg/ and http://img411.imageshack.us/i/oblivion201004081024418.jpg/.

Appearantly my LOD files have become invisible or something, because their outline is visible in the second screenshot under water. After I fixed a problem with some missing landscape and reloading my save, my LOD was gone. I reran TES4LODGEN a couple of times, deleted the DistantLOD folder etc ..

I'm not sure I understand the problem. In your first screenshot the LOD can clearly be seen, in your second screenshot I can't see anything but water. Are buildings missing in the first screenshot? Because the trees and landscape obviously show up.

Have you checked your Video Settings and that they are actually set to see Distant Lands?

You didn't somehow end up uninstalling the RAEVWD files did you? It looks like your game reverted back on the files it comes with, which aren't many. Though if that shot is where I think it is, even your Talos bridge is missing which shouldn't happen unless you've also been messing with your BSA files.

I have indeed been messing with my BSA's, but that's just been PyFFI'ing it. The funny thing is however, that when I disable all my mods and reload the game, the LOD files do pop up. Disabling Streamline doesn't work either.

You need to use OBMM's reset BSA timestamps feature (archive invalidation) or get a file re-dating application. After you edited the BSAs, the dates became more recent that the data files you have installed. Since you were PyFFI-optimizing, I assume you touched the Vanilla Meshes BSA. It contains the default DLOD files, so...
