It came like the wind
The Gales, the Gales!
Spears of Fire
The Rain, The Rain!
The Trans'mation of the loved
The Plague, The plague!
The Fall of Man
The Death, The Death!
The End of all
The End, The End!
The moon cast a soft, pale light over the outskirts of the shanty city. It was a circular mud-pit, all the main streets coming from the surrounding wastelands heading to one place, the remains of an old tower, that once stood high over the city that was previously here. The night was quiet, and nothing stirred. Perfect for what was too be unleashed on an un-suspecting population.
An old Military-grade truck slowly hauled it's precious cargo, a large cylendrical item covered by a white tarp, coming towards the pale outline of the city guarded by numerous guards on jeeps, guarding the cargo with a precious element they'd lay down there life for.
And element of truth, of want, of need. And element of Order, and an element of Genocide. The transporters slowly crept there convoy around the south-east end of the circular shanty town, until they reached a main eastern road. From here, the little jeeps turned into the streets.
A man stumbled into the streets, drunk out of his mind from a night spent at the bar. In an instance, guards jumped out of a near by jeep, and gagged him. Knocking him out, they threw his limp form into the back of the jeep before continueing. From here, the main cargo truck and trailer slowly crept into the city, heading for the tower in the middle. After what seemed like ages, the trailer was parked neatly outside of a large hole leading to an underground chamber, and a makeshift crane.
The crane groaned under the wait of the cargo, before calmly placing it in the care of the mutants in the underground chamber. As the crane was pulled back up, and out of the chamber, large steel plates groaned as the ground began to shift, and the opening to the underground chamber was closed by large, almost impenitrable steel doors. After all sound recided, all the vehicles went off in different directions. The Cargo truck took the main south road. As it raced out of the city, trailer in tow, it passed a sign of old.
It had a simple design. A white outline, with a green inside. It's simple, tainted white text read this;
"Chicago"
