I'd recently been re-reading 'The Real Barenziah', and then a possibility hit me like an Ogrim Titan. Is Shani at all inspired by Barenziah?

No, the bow was fine; if it is broken, he won't use it at all and he switches to his crossbow or a sword. This happens all the time with Julan - instead of using his marksman weapons from a distance, he gets right in the face of whoever we are fighting. Jasmine does the same thing, in fact... I'm always picking Constance's arrows out of their inventories, b/c she stays back and the J's are blocking her aim.

If there were ophthalmologists in Vvardenfell, I'd get their eyes checked...

@Deadra_Lord I love Barenziah, and the young Barenziah and Shani do have a few things in common, now that I think about it! Though I think at heart, they are rather different - I think they would be similar teenagers, but very different advlts.
