I can't help noticing that at certain points in my game there's vast amounts of whirring going on in the CD drive and have heard somewhere that a No-CD crack speeds things up a little. However, I try to use a No-CD and Morrowind Code Patch won't work any more. Given that it fixes bugs, I'm loath to not use it, but would the potential increase in performance from a No-CD outweigh the benefits of the code patch, or is there a way to use both?

What does morrowind even load off of the CD? I thought it was just videos or something and you could copy those to your harddrive anyway.

A no cd crack won't help since Bethesda removed the copy protection years ago. The only thing remained was a simple CD check.

Yes, the videos are located on the CD. Everything else is in the Morrowind folder.

Pretty sure discussing cracks (even just a NoCD one) is sort of a no-no here. So, closed before anyone gets themselves into trouble.
