Rockstar should get the rights to Fallout and make it right!

What, not story for the protagonism but for the companions, is that bad?

You didnt understand me. Fallout tells the story of "You". Not your pre made Vault Dweller, but you. Mass Effect and Dragon Age tell the story of your Shepard/Warden. They have a storyline where all they can do is agree to it a follow being good or bad but you cant just turn away and not do all of this. In fallout its simple you are the vault dweller its your story.
Not saying Biowares way is bad( I love Mass Effect) i just thing that wouldnt suit Fallout series.

Dragon Age II is going to be worse since we're apparently forced to be a male human...

Wikipedia: "The protagonist of Dragon Age II is a human character named Hawke,[1] whose class and gender can be changed."
Oh, we can be a female as well.
Still, they're going the Mass Effect route and forcing us to be "Hawke".
Crap design decision IMO.
I bet they only did it so that they could fully voice the main character or something like that. <_<

No... [censored]... Way...

It's sad to watch the RPG genre, which once stood mighty and strong, slowly wither and die...
Honestly? The only RPG franchise out there that I have the slightest hope for is Fallout and possibly TES..
Bethesda... Please don't [censored] your franchises. :cryvaultboy:

EA [censored], pillaged, and murdered then proceded to douse and burn the remains of RPG's...

They will never be the same, Fallout actually seems to be the only game made within the last fifteen years in which you can be a pacifist in.. and literally beat the entire game without fighting.. at all.

The likelihood of Rockstar doing Fallout would/is very slim since RDR isn't, nor did it try to be, a RPG. Fallout is an RPG, not a sandbox 3rd person shooter like GTA, RDR, etc. Let Rockstar keep with their good work on GTA, RDR, LA Noire, etc. games, and Beth with Fallout. I'm sure somewhere down the road, like Rockstar with westerns, will pull a stunt and making an Apocalyptic style game... sometime. It might not be Fallout, but you'll have your Rockstar Apocalypse sometime in the future. (Maybe not, I dunno?)

Rockstar. Bethesda/Obsidian. BioWare. These are my three favorite developers. They all have different strengths.

If I want a linear story and a game that is well-polished and just insane fun, Rockstar is where I go. GTA4 gave me everything I loved
about GTA and added a good story and some good characters to it. RDR? RDR's story and characters are fantastic. That is my 2010
game of the year. BUT, these stories are linear and they are third person action/adventure sandbox games. Let Rockstar stick to that.

Bioware? Bioware crafts excellent characters and excellent universes. And excellent stories, yeah. The focus tends to be on morality
and your personality/team/squad. Could they do Fallout justice? I think they could. But they already have the Dragon's Age and Mass Effect series.
Any more than two universes and it can only be a bad thing. Let BioWare craft their space opera and dark fantasy epics.

Bethesda is not perfect. Obsidian is not perfect. This is not a match made in heaven and we all know it. But it is probably the best that
is realistically possible.

Dont see how Bioware can make Fallout Justice. They make awesome games but with each game the mechanics turn away from traditional RPG and turn more into a shooter with few rpg elements. And the games are pretty much require you to do like scripted with mostly minimal impact on the world and only good or bad choices. Something what would turn more fans away from Fallout.

Yeah, I don't know, don't ask. I was thinking of Myth while skimming through this thread.

Here's an idea.... Give Fallout to EA sports. That way we can pay for the same game with a minor graphical update and a few NPC name changes every year.
