Thoughts on Races

I was thinking about how the racial abilities always annoyed me in Morrowind and Oblivion, and how, in Skyrim, they could be differentiated. I think each race should have one Armor, one Melee, and one Distance Weapon. The Armors would be Light, Heavy and Unarmored, the Melees are H2H, 1h and 2h, and the Distance Weapons are Marksman, Destruction, and Alteration (for paralyze and demoralize). This is what I came up with.

Altmer Unarmored, 1h weapon, and Destruction
Argonian Unarmored, H2H, and Destruction
Breton Light Armor, 1h weapon, and Marksman
Dunmer Heavy Armor, 2h weapon, Destruction
Imperial Heavy Armor, 1h weapon, and Alteration
Khajit Light Armor, H2H, and Alteration
Nord Light Armor, 2h weapon and Marksman
Orc Heavy Armor, 2h weapon, and Marksman
Redguard Unarmored, 2h Weapon, Alteration
Wood Elf Light Armor, 1h weapon, and Marksman

You've got to be kidding. No magic for bretons? That's rediculous. Also, this again makes every race feel alike. The whole point is that some races are good at magic (and have mostly boosts for magic), some are good at the sneaky stuff (and get bonuses for that), others are melee oriented, and the rest are a mixed bag.

Uh, Paralyse and Demoralize are Illusion magic not Alteration.

I don't really understand what you're saying, but if I'm picking up on it right, this would mean the races would be more limited. No thanks...

I would like the option of mixed races.....well maybe human and mer.
Not sure about human and beast....thats a bit dodgy....best left on the back burner :)
Would be good if optional.....what do you think?
