A large populated city

Post » Fri May 13, 2011 4:48 pm

I was wondering if there were any large populated tight streeted cities out there to explore. I tend to play as a thief and I like to RP. I was wondering if there was anything along those lines because a lot of cities in Morrowind don't have that tight populated feel and being a thief feels rather boring because the escapes from guards feel too easy. I would like something with tight alleyways tall buildings and other such things. I remember back when someone was working on the city from Deadly Shadows but I think it bit the dust. I loved that game but I felt there was something missing from the game it self and Morrowind always feels so perfect other than everything being so openly spaced out.

Try Tamriel Rebuilt. Firewatch is a very huge city.

I may have to but I heard it was very un-polished NPC wise and I don't wanna download something unless it feels finished.

I was also wondering what about Silgrad tower and other such landmasses?

Map 1 has fully realized NPCs with quests and everything. Map 2 has NPCs populating the cities also, but no quests yet.
Although still technically a Beta, the released maps are worth installing.

Other big city mods:
Havish
Wizards' Islands
(those two both conflict with TR though)
Annastia

Anyone who doesn't try TR because it isn't "finished" is missing out on some great work. I say this not because I work for TR (none of my work is on the two released maps, it is in future releases), but because the work done by those out there who came before me is why I am there doing work to begin with. Not to mention we have a few releases coming soon, for even more fully fleshed NPC's and even more land to explore :)

I'm actually exploring TR as we speak and I think it's excellent.

Okay so I got Annastia as well but it doesn't show on the map and I'd like to take the Galleon there. Are there any maps online with expansions and relative distance from the mainland?

The landmass will appear on the map if you use the "map exxpansion" feature of the Code Patch.

http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/gg282/MrKWMonk/kwm_nonloremapNov10.jpg and will conflict with future TR releases (just so you know).

Make sure you use the Annastia land fix v3.3 version.

Edit - Havish has probably the most town like feel of all the mods I've visited. Being old however detail is a little sparse. Blacklight in Silgrad Tower is similar but has less houses and a good many are not complete. I've not really played TR at all, am saving it up, but it's got some large settlements, especially in the next couple of maps from what I've seen.

Have fun
