Oblivion for 24 hours!

Post » Fri May 13, 2011 2:16 pm

I'm planning on doing a marathon run of Oblivion for 24 hours straight.

I'd like to set certain targets, I'm presuming I won't get near completing the game in that space of time.

For instance:

Complete all Mage tasks.
Complete all Thief tasks.
Complete all Dark Brotherhood tasks.

Would this be achievable?

I'd also like to explore and pick up as many random quests as possible.

Another target might be close X number of Oblivion Gates.

Or how about reaching a certain level?

Any other suggestions? 24 hours, no more, no less :)

At least use OOO 1.33 so that you won't manhandle whatever the game throws at you each and every time and get bored. If this is true then you will also learn to deplore Oblivion gates. The beautiful thing about it is that you can download OOO as an OMOD for easy install, rather than the mission impossible of FCOM. If you like Ayleid ruins then you can go for the Ayleid statue quest. You will need to find at least one statue before Umbacano ( living in the Talos District ) will give you his three quests. If you like forts then go to Weye and find Nerussa and do her Venerable Vintage quest. Go to Bruma and find either Arnora or Jorundr for their quest. And finally, do the Clavicus Vile Daedric Shrine Quest and finish it any way you can. If you do this last one then you may want a quest award leveler mod.

Ah. I should point out I'll be playing on the xbox 360. I just wouldn't manage 24 hours with a keyboard and mouse. I tried hooking the controller up to the pc version but couldnt get it set up right. Although the pc version with mods looks SO much better I think it has to be on the console.

Also, I'm pretty bad discipline wise but I find it too easy to tweak things when I can on the pc. It's just too easy to add a mod or change the game to make life easier and that ruins the immersion. If I'm locked down on the console I enjoy playing to the limits of the game. I don't even mind the leveling issue too much. I like knowing I can explore any area from the moment I step out of the sewers.

Kill every single NPC. Sounds a hell of a lot easier than it is, just finding the lot of them is a nightmare...

How many side quests are there in game? You should have a crack at doing all of them.
