Sincere Thank-You, Bethesda!

I didn't expect them to drop that - not unless being hunted down by frenzied masses appealed to them. :P

Still, it's a hugely good idea that keeps on being implemented. Grateful for that, and for the crazy good community of modders that makes it possible to play over and over and never get bored. :)

I really don't think that developers have been abandoning the PC community and the modding community. It's just that time is money and spending extra time to give tools

assasins creed brotherhood isn't even out for PC yet, but it came out for consoles in like october
and the tools that we get are the tools they use so its not like they are creating something totally new

Its a financially viable choice I mean they would loose a huge portion of their fans if they didn't provide these tools for the community. This is just an educated guess but a lot of companies don't even provide their own workers with a good construction set and yet here we have bethesda providing the world with this magical thing but its not as if they would loose money on this kind of thing they can only make more.

As a modder, I certainly support this thread as well, and offer my own gratitude. :)

You've obviously never played Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 on PC. ;)

And as for your comments about mods being a slap in the face for some developers, I can say as a graphic designer myself that if what someone does to my work after it is out of my hands is significantly better than the original I take it as no slight at all, instead I wonder to myself why I didn't think of that, and do better next time.

What Big X said,

Mods are also a way of showing the developers what they're doing right and wrong. Things that are good are developed and expanded by the community, and things that are bad are fixed. It's a very symbiotic relationship.
