Windows Live and no game

OK the Windows Live screen shows up and insists on loading information stored locally (on my machine) disregarding the multiple times I have...

It has been a few months since I have played this great game and I wanted to get away from the Black Ops for some fun.

Usually, at least as far as I recall, once I got the fix for the quad processor in everything runs well; so I will not bring that to bear, except to say I regularly update.

So now the Windows Live intrusion screen pops up and demands a log in OK but when I fill in the field it keep posting everything as it it remembers my account.

However it will not let me de-select any of the radio buttons and continues mindlessly to auto-fill.

To resolve this I reset the password at Windows Live thinking I had forgotten... twice now

1. Verified my account. CHECK

2.Gotten e-mail verification. CHECK

3. Log in play game. ERROR.

Now yes I am running the game in Vista 64 bit, but I have managed to complete much of it with little or no hassles...(other than the Vista 'memory hang', during closing of the game) anything that comes up gets the three finger salute and task manager; which resolves nearly everything else.

My question is can I play the game without logging in to Live? Or am I forced to be without Fallout?

Or can Live be trained to do good things for humanity, my sanity or simply do what it is supposed to do?

I really don`t understand this problem with Windows Live. I really don`t.

I pop the game in the PC, install, run and play. I don`t accept Live, I don`t run it and no problems at all from Windows Live. I even forget the option is there. I wish I could help, but since I`ve not had a problem, I can`t.

Did you originally register or something onto Live? I simply refused to and it left me alone.

Now if it was Steam I would really agree about that as Steam is a utility I hate and I can`t get rid of it and play my game.

I don't understand your problem either? If you just asking if you can play fo3 without live, then yes.
