Patching Fallout 2 : Fallout Series Discussion

Whoever you are, thank you for viewing. Please know that you will be helping me with two questions, but first let me give you some info.

*I have done a Humongous Install of Fallout 2 on XP.
*I have downloaded some patches and a mod from the NMA site

Fallout 2 Official Patch 1.02
Fallout 2 Unofficial Patch 1.05
Fallout 2 Unofficial Patch 1.051
Fallout 2 Restoration Project Installer

Question 1:
Do I install all of these in the order I have listed, or do I skip straight to 1.051 and add the Restoration Mod?

Question 2:
How do I install the patches? Inside the compressed file are two files:

fallout2.exe - replace the original .exe
patch000.dat - there are no instructions; where do I put this?

I installed the official 1.02 patch first then Killap's unofficial patch 2 which can be downloaded from http://www.nma-fallout.com/forum/dload.php?action=file&file_id=704 and then restoration project 1.2 http://www.nma-fallout.com/forum/dload.php?action=file&file_id=1097. They are all installer versions so no manual installation needed.
