Issues with the modlimit...

Hi,
i have been experiencing quite strange issues with the modlimit in both games. I know that the official limit is 255 mods, but my game stops working after 204 in Fallout 3 and 145 in New Vegas.
When i activate mod no. 205 in Fallout 3 and load up a game, first thing that will happen is, that i will get texture errors, i cant acces the mainmenu anymore and i also cant interact with containers or npcs anymore. Furthermore sounds will randomly drop out and so on. If i deactivate "any" mod, everything becomes totally stable again. Now in Oblivion i never had this issue, it only happens to me in Fallout 3 and New Vegas...and in New Vegas it even happens a lot earlier...:( So what can i do to fix this ? I kind of dont want to deactive mods, as i have good reason for wanting to use them ;) Do i have to merge certain things now ?
As i said, it doesnt matter which mod i enable or deactive, the game only reacts to the amount of mods activated...

Any help is greatly appreciated !! :)

So any mod, such as the one mod that would add say one random new formID involving say one piece of armor? If it is, then thats a new thing I have yet to see, otherwise it sounds like excessive amounts of data.

What you describe, in terms of the bugs, appears to be a memory overload, meaning the game is just trying to process way too many things whether it be scripts, AI packages, textures, meshes, sounds, etc. It seems as far as my personal experience that there is essentially a limit that the games just say "f-you no more". However I could be very wrong about this.
