One of the trademark features of the Wasteland is the left-over "personal nuclear power" in the form of nuclear cars.

The real world is catching up:

Very cool!

Kind of sounds like what NASA is looking at for the Moon Base. A small nuclear reactor not much bigger than a trash can.

heh, was just about to post this...
it is however a mini-powerplant designed to power aprox. 10,000 households at a time.
so it's not exactly a "personal" power plant (yet). but yeah, kinda made me think of
fallout as well. :)
