Questions about Gaigen Shinji.

Did he coin the phrase ? '' The best technecs (Or strategies) are passed on by the survivers'' And was he an imperial ?

I am sick of my freakin keyboard. Always adding either an extra letter. Or putting the wrong letter. Btw i meant Gaiden Shinji.

I think so.

And the phrase is overrated. It betrays such a interesting name.

It fills the "random quote that doesn't really apply" role for Arena, like Zurin's quote does in Morrowind.

Daggerfall doesn't have a cool starting quote... Could have been "The knowledge of the bugs is passed on by the survivors." :P

The "...without the Hero..." quote does apply, and not by a stretch of it's meaning. The quotes are not so great, but they cannot very well come up with something as endearing as, Say hello to my little friend!

I thought Shinji was one of the Tsaesci founders of the http://www.imperial-library.info/obbooks/fg_history.shtml , he wasn't.

Lol now that i think about it it is. You think someone like that would be saying something incredibly groundbreaking...but then he said that.

Redguard, Order of Diagna, died fighting with the orcs of Orsinium.

Yes, a bit stiff on the memorial quotes, but an interesting one all the same...

Come on, the quote isn't that bad. Maybe a little cheesy... he probably meant it as a joke :D
Oh, or imagine he gets challenged to a duel by some guy who keeps mocking him, saying that his skills are lacking and his techniques are embarassing. And Gaiden only says that sentence - right before he kills the guy with a very unspectacular thrust.
That would actually be pure coolness!

By the way, interesting to hear that there was a "Let's make the Redguards Japanese" era. Explains a couple of things.

And the Morrowind quote in the intro is brilliant.

I wouldn't say he coined the phrase as much as he made it famous.
