Are all Dremora blue?

Post » Fri May 13, 2011 5:00 pm

Bit of a surprise when I first played Oblivion to find a blue dude attacking me...

So... Is it just the Xixalvi(I know I spelled it wrong) that are blue, or is it all dremora?

They didn't look so blue in Daggerfall, Morrowind, and Battlespire, well at least for the dremora. For the Xixalvi, the only other game, I think, they were in was Battlespire. Even then, they were not so blue either. In Daggerfall and Battlespire, they both had the skin color of an imperial or something. In morrowind, the dremora are black, with red markings on their face and red hair.

I'm sure there are different colors for different elements. Red is for fire. Blue would be water of course. White would be sundering flatulence, and Black would be the black streaks in magma.

Xi.

Vi.

Lai.

Xi-vi-lai.

Xivilai.

To answer the question: Xivilais are their own breed of Daedra, and Dremoras are another. So Xivilais aren't Dremoras.

And since the Dremoras aren't blue (more like a dark, purplish grey) and neither are most of the other Daedra we see (Clannfears are green for example), then the answer is "no".

White would be sundering flatulence,

Anyway, the skin colour depends on which game you're playing.

I have no idea why the skin colour differs from game to game. Different tribes perhaps?

And, as Gez said, Xivilai are not Dremora. To quote:

Xivilai, similar to the Dremora in every way, except they hate submission.

So, they're similar but not the same type of Daedroth.

The Dremora were always the domineering type in S&M.
