I'll put it this way. Every one knows about LA Niore ... NO ONE knows about brink. Both games release on the same day. May 17th. There are tons of videos on GameStop TV for LA Niore and I just put up MORE marketing for the game. I think it'll be a good single player game but I know for a fact that everyone loves multiplayer shooters... well most people.
I have no demo's no videos as of yet to show people how awesome this great shooter will be. Character customization with smooth graphics and gameplay mechanics? This game might not be super-successful but it will be a success. Here is why. This will be the first game, that not only can you choose your objectives in real time, you can play your style. I know this is based off TFC2 but you can totally customize your character so that you are in the game, or whoever you wish you could be like/ look like ect. Players will be able to emotionally connect with their player more than other games that force you to take on a specific role. Yes homefront, reach, black ops, you can tweek little things about how your character looks but in the end you won't feel as proud. Vegas and Vegas 2 allowed for much customization but still did not go any where near the amount of options. From what I've seen Brink allows for more players to play on their own terms with their own style. It's run and gun tactical. You can be sneaky, you can lone wolf run out, you can be agile, a heavy gunner, a annoying engineer. Your style, your choice with how YOU the player want to take out your enemy.
All of this and a unique fun design with hopefully a good sci-fi story.
Just remember, it's not just a guy with a gun with these kinds of options. It's you and your style. If the SMART system is as smooth I'm hoping it is, this game will be a favorite of many.
Well on a final note, I do think, because it is a brand new game and type. I think it would be a great move not only for the optimists to play a multiplayer demo, but for the sceptics as well so that they can be proven wrong, a taste of what is going to be.
