nifscope question

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this.

My question is, whenever I load up something on Nifscope its always pure white in the render window. All the SS I see of people useing nifscope show it fully rendered with textures and everything. Am I loading something wrong or is there a setting Im missing because Iv searched everywhere.

Also is there a good sight that shows in detail how to use Nifscope, ESCS wiki doesnt seem to have one.

in the tutorial section... just about any kind of operation you would want to do to a nif is covered in there.

about the textures- render>add a folder> point folder to texture folders that contains the textures. then they should display in the viewport.

In order for NifSkope to display textures, they have to be unpacked from the .bsa archive.

It's unlikely that you'd have this problem, but I run NifSkope on a machine with a very old video card that doesn't have much memory. When a texture is too large, it won't display.

NifSkope uses OpenGL for its renders, whereas the game uses DirectX. You can have issues with driver support for one that won't affect the other - it's why I'm not running NifSkope on the machine I play on - so it's also possible that white textures in NifSkope indicate an OpenGL problem with your drivers.

Remarkably, NifSkope tends to degrade rather than fail completely whenever there's a problem.
