so i saw some stuff saying the war lasted 2 minutes right. then i see some stuff in german town saying they were helping survivors with radiation how is that possible when everything is destroyed an heavily irradiated + how did the chinese special forces -chinese remnant soldiers-mama dolce's- get there if everything in the world's destroyed? please help and NO i'm not a noob I've had FO3 when it first came out in australia, october 31st 08 -it was a friday i walked from school to get it- hoo-ah

It lasted two hours, actually. Bombs hit the West Coast before the East Coast and, as I am to understand, after a reaction to the bombs that hit the west coast the national guard units tried to help those who were outside the vaults. I'm not saying it makes sense for those national guard units to go into an area where they knew there would be radiation eventually. Apparently, from what I gathered from the computer in German town, they believed they could help those afflicted with radiation poisoning.

The Chinese there were spies, apparently had infiltrated the United States before the Great War.

thanks but one last thing weren't the national guard units in germantown there for atleast a day because' some "ran away in the night" also is there a site besides vault wiki with timeline information?

Fallout doesn't kill right away. The bombs fell but not everyone got killed then. Fallout moves with the wind and slowly kills everything.

The Vault wiki's Fallout timeline is the most complete one around.

Its the reminants of society trying to hold itself together against all odds...
