Even pokemon had fishing.

That said, I won't be devastated if they leave it out.

I think it would be a nice feature. But they shouldn't spend too much time on how it works. I don't want another pro fishing game.

It wouldn't hurt the game, but it would wear out quite fast. I mean, how long can it keep you engaged? It's not gonna be a full bass simulator.

I'd prefer the option of setting up a tent near the lake and being able to sit and sleep there, and do woodcutting and the other professions they are implementing, but again, i think we're getting too fantasy-ish.

Well, from what's been said we know we can do farming, mining and I believe some other things were mentioned. If they add enough ponds into the game I think fishing would be a nice pass-time. Especially if the game features an OPTIONAL hardcoe mode ala New Vegas.

I don't think it's too fantasy-ish to suggest that we can (finally) set up camp and make fire via the woodcutting skill. Red Dead Redemption actually had a fairly nice (if simple) system for this. Add fishing to the mix and I've got the itch to get out into the woods of Skyrim!

I have a friend who managed to put hundreds of hours into the otherwise 10-20 hour Fable all because of fishing. :shocking:

Personally, I'm not into it, but there are people out there who would really enjoy such a thing.

I voted 'yes.' Here's why.

I always loved the fishing mini-game in Zelda. In fact, it was my favorite mini-game. As long as they can make it fun, I would love it. There seems to be a lot of water in the game, considering the maps people have made, so fishing would be great.

I prefer the old school fishing, take some skooma, equip battle axe, jump in water, hit everything that moves for 10 minutes. chop chop!

Or the old "cast lightning bolt at pond" trick.

Nothing more relaxing than some fishing. I remember I'd spend a large amount of time fishing in Okami, and I do not regret all that time I spent fishing.

Ice Fishing seems like it would work just fine here.

If I recall correctly you could find fishing poles in Morrowind even though you couldn't use them. Besides, with the addition of all these new activities like woodcutting, cooking, etc. I wouldn't be surprised to see fishing, and I would really love it. For some reason I always enjoyed it in WoW and Fable: TLC

Yes :) I think it would be fairly awesome, specially given the crafting we know we can do already
