Quite possibly the stupidest question ever

Post » Fri May 13, 2011 9:40 am

So I got the game on christmas and I've been loving it. I already finished the main quest and am currently playing Broken Steel. One thing that bugs me though....

How do I holster my weapon?

I've checked the options but can't seem to find it. It would be nice to be able to talk to people without pointing a gun at their face (sometimes I put the gun away and simply point at them with my fists).

What system do you play on?

If your on the 360 you just hold down the button you use to reload it with... (I think it's the x-button)

If you are playing on pc or ps3 then I don't have a clue...

I think it works as such on all platforms, hold the reload button. Atleast it does on the PC.

It's not stupid at all! It's literally the only thing the extensive controls tutorial does not teach you, and it's probably the most important

It's not a stupid question at all! Thanks for the answers cos now I know how to too. I've been changing to a mele weapon, putting it away by pressing 'r' then changing back to a gun
Hold r - great!

You'd be surprised how often people need to ask this question. :P

For what it's worth, when the manual couldn't explain how to hack computers better than an online tutorial...I read its little notes for the  factor and that was it.

He could have been like me and not play the game until almost two years after it was purchased and thus the manual is buried somewhere in his computer room. :whistling:

(I finally found it though, after copious amounts of rifling through my other game manuals.;) )

Manual doesn't say anything about rotating weapons either. I hate stopping and going through the pip every time I want to change weapons.
Unless I'm seriously missing something.

You can hot key any item in your inventory with the 1-8 keys, not just weapons.
