Official TES V Speculation Thread # 51

Post » Fri May 13, 2011 11:55 am

Ok so what is more valid ? Bethesda announcing 2 years after their last game or 2 years before the game is being released?

I would think that announcements depend on the release date, not the last game.

That's almost the exact same thing. They announce it two years after the last, and it comes out about two years later.

Either way, I am 95% sure it will be for this generation, too many reasons for it to be on this generation. I don't feel like listing them, but you can read the next gen thread I linked a page or so back.

Do you honestly think that a game that has been worked on since late 2006 will be featured on next gen console, of which will be released no sooner than 2013? Really, 7+ year production time? They just scripted some quests, and tweaked their engine, but have otherwise just sat on their asses for the past 2 years?(After Fallout)

What have character artists been doing? Long vacation?

It makes no sense at all

Doesn't it make sense that if they are re-tooling the engine they have NOW they are trying to push something thru during this generations' life-cycle??

I tend to agree. There have been strong idications that they are reworking the existing engine and I think its too early for them to have access to next gen console SDKs. Might be wrong and TESV may be on hold waiting for next gen consoles but I doubt it. Bethesda also has the IP 'Prey' and may already be in production on that with current staff and tech.

Post limit.

All this topic is doing is going round and round in the same repetitive circle so I will make a new topic - but in a few hours. Hopefully that will give you all something new to come up with.
