Help me find the perfect mod

Post » Fri May 13, 2011 4:42 am

Just ordered morrowind via steam (I have played before on xbox) and was wondering if there is a big graphics overhaul mod, I have seen many for different objects IE: monsters, plants, clothing etc, but I am looking for a all in one if there is any. Thanks for any help which is much appreciated!

And no, there is not one mod that is a "big overhaul"
You gotta piece all the mods together to get everything, but it's a fun process for most of us because you can customize the game to look how you want it.

EDIT: And since you're using Steam, you have to redate the BSAs back to 2002 for some mods to work.
You'll need to use a third-party program to change the date. http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/File-Management/Attribute-Changer.shtml works great.
In the location where you installed Steam, look for "...Steam\SteamApps\common\morrowind" folder - The three BSAs will be located under the "Data Files" folder.
To get MGE to work, you'll have to disable Steam community.

Actually, there is one: http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1158688-betawipz-morrowind-overhaul-sounds-graphics-2/ that seems to work fine for a lot of people. Though you'd better make sure your pc is up to it, because it incorporates the Morrowind Graphics Extender with some shaders and those are able to devour your fps.
