All the ghouls in Fallout sounded like Dark Elves? I didn't know that I thought it was only Desmond.

Not as much as Desmond, but they all have that ashy voice the Dunmer have. And it works.

What voices did you like in Morrowind?

Altmer
Argonians
Dunmer
Khajiit
Orcs
Nords
Redguards

What voices did you like in Oblivion?

Argonians
Bosmer
Imperials
Nords
Redguards

If you could make sure one of the voices was styled to your liking next game to your liking, which would you choose and why?

Dunmer

I think they made the tone of the voice different for different ghouls because they all sound similar but not exactly the same. Although i'm just guessing they did that.

I'm hoping that they never stop using Michael Mack for the voice of the male Redguards. He first voiced Cyrus in Redguard, then continued to voice their NPCs through Morrowind and to Oblivion. He's also the only one that seems to consistently speak with emotion - lots of the voice actors in Oblivion contributed to Morrowind, but sounded far worse when speaking full conversations.

I got tired of the ghouls' voices in Fallout 3 pretty quickly, actually. If it's limited to only part of the Dunmer population, then I don't mind it (and to hear some variation of "Under sun and sky, we greet you warmly" would be pure bliss :P). But in general, I'd prefer something closer to Oblivion's elves for the Dunmer, but made more distinct from the rest (deeper, and with an accent closer to Asian or Middle-Eastern speech, perhaps?)

Morrowind had voices but they were usually just for greetings

Echo the post about very different voice to suspend disbelief. Matter of fact, I love (as a person who listens to books due to my eyes) those with such voice that the nuances don't allow you to pin them down respectively. Like Samantha Mumba, Dublin born with an African Ancestry, giving her a very unique lilt to her tones. There are some Mediterranean voices I have heard, as well as some from the deep island chains(Oceana), that are practically musical to the ears.

I will give the much lauded Dragon Age Origins credit, they had no problem really mixing up the Elven voices. One of my favorite characters is the rather rakish one with the Antonio Banderas affect to his tone. That was a hoot. Morrigan's voice was nice, but her mother, old Capn' Janeway herself, was GOLD.
